We’re looking for a full-stack Ruby on Rails developer to join our expanding team. You’ll get to work on our web app, public APIs, as well as internal management tools.

CompanyCam is looking for a new member to join the team!

You want to work on something fun and make good money in the process—we get it.

We’re out to build the most kickass camera app and cloud photo storage service for contractors—and to have a good time doing it. Our hard work is paying off and we’re one of the fastest growing apps for contractors. But, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and to be honest, we won’t take you too seriously either.

If you’re into the whole not-too-serious thing, but also enjoy building awesome stuff, please get in touch.

What We’re Looking For

Our product is growing fast, and it’s vital we optimize for scale. Your duties will include developing features from start to finish, refactoring legacy code to increase stability and performance, with continual testing for reliability.

This role will be well suited for someone that can wrap their mind around the bigger picture and think long-term about the solutions they develop. You should be comfortable working independently and with minimal management.

What you’ll be working with

Our stack consists of Ruby on Rails, React, SCSS, Webpacker, Postgres, Mongo, Kafka, and S3. We use CodeShip for continuous integration and Capistrano for deployment. Get your feature out when it is ready, we ship multiple times per day. If something exists, use it, no need to re-invent the wheel.

The Ideal Candidate

Exercises pragmatism

Self-starter without much need for management

Takes pride in their code

Enjoys teaching others
