What we’re looking for

Cross River’s Compliance team makes sure that our business is always consistent with current regulations, and as Compliance Analyst, you play a key role. You will focus on ensuring the bank’s compliance with laws and regulations. We are looking for a hardworking, proactive person with a great attitude who is looking for a career and cares about results, not activity, and will have fun doing it. Responsibilities:

Ensure the Bank’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, etc.

Assist Chief Compliance Officer with testing compliance with laws, regulations, etc. pertaining to the Bank’s products and services.

Identify regulatory/policy gaps, and their root causes, and work with business units to correct deficiencies.

Drafting/amending compliance related policies and procedures.

Review complaints, advertisements, etc. to ensure compliance/quality control.

Assist colleagues and the Bank’s partners with compliance and Bank policy questions.

Develop and assist in the implementation of new compliance related processes and special projects.

Participate in new product development, system initiatives, and other projects to ensure potential compliance related issues are adequately addressed.

Qualifications:

Requirement-Minimum 1-year relevant experience working in a compliance or legal department at a bank or a credit union.

BA/BS Degree, CRCM a plus.

A JD or Paralegal Certification is not required however applicant must have the ability to research and analyze laws and regulations.

Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and subjects applicable to lending and deposit, and payment products and services: TILA, ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP, HMDA, SCRA, E-Sign, Privacy, Identity Theft, Marketing, Fair Lending, Regulations CC/D/E/DD/GG, etc.

Some knowledge of lending, deposit, and payment products and services.

Experience completing and/or review of Risk and Self Assessments.

Experience with testing transactions and disclosures.

Integrity, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills.

Exceptional collaboration skills and a desire to work as part of a high-performance team.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work in a fast paced, energetic environment
