Title: Sales/Outreach Associate

Compensation: Base plus commission

Term: Full-time

Location: Cambridge, MA

Position overview: Not okay with fossil fuels driving our planet into oblivion? Neither are we. That’s why we started Solstice. 80% of America is locked out of the solar market because they cannot install solar on their roof. Solstice radically expands access to clean energy by providing community-shared solar power to American households. This model enables any resident to enjoy clean energy at no upfront cost and save money on their electric bill.

We are looking for an outstanding Outreach Associate who can get residents and small businesses excited to join their local community solar garden. This fast-paced, high-volume role is designed to hone your skills and launch your career and comes with significant responsibility and autonomy. Responsibilities will include:

Exceed monthly and project-based targets

Own customer development and entire sales-cycle

Leverage both phone and email to clearly communicate the Solstice value proposition to customers

Conducting outreach to and building relationships with community organizations, including houses of worship, workplaces, community centers, schools, and service organizations

Collaborate with Outreach members to motivate each other and improve daily

Document all activities in our CRM

Fully understanding the solar industry, community solar market, the Solstice customer profile, and value proposition

Help us build scalable sales processes and implement efficiencies

Bachelor’s Degree

6 months – 2 years of post-grad sales or political organizing experience

Ability to sustain a high volume of outbound sales activity

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Process driven, highly motivated, competitive, yet team-oriented

Excited to work at a fast-paced early stage startup

Willingness to work evenings and weekends on occasion
